Grande Reserve Naoussa Boutari
A rich wine with a deep red colour and terracotta tints. The sweet aromas of dried fruit, dominated by tomato and fig, blend with the aromas of ageing, like cinnamon, vanilla, wood and spices. Chardonnay Boutari
Crystal appearance, yellow colour with golden tints. Intense, fine aroma blending citrus and exotic fruits, such as lemon and pineapple, with the distinct sweet aromas of ageing, like vanilla and butter, acquired from its short presence in oak barrels. Very good structure, richness and long aromatic aftertaste. An excellent accompaniment for shellfish, as well as oily fish dishes and soft cheeses.
Chardonnay Gerovassiliou
A wine produced from Chardonnay, which was planted in the estate back in 1983. After skin contact it is fermented in French oak barrels and then remains in contact with its primary yeast lees for a few months, gaining creaminess and excellent varietal essence of character. Bright pale yellow in colour with a rich mouthfeel, honeyed texture and citrusy scents on the palate, as well as nuances of dried nuts and vanilla.
Ktima Protopappas
Full wine of good taste and generally easy to combine with foods. This wine is aged for one year in French oak barrel. You can make out the flavours of Vanilla, clove, pepper and generally spices. It goes well with grilled meats, duck and surprisingly enough with Asian dishes too.
Cava Boutari
Deep red colour with terracotta tints, a rich bouquet from ageing, with distinct aromas of dried fruit, plum, fig, and forest fruit jam. These co-exist with sweet spices, with vanilla dominating. Rich taste, excellent balance, complexity and long aftertaste. Served with red meats, roasted or cooked, game and cheeses.
Syrah Kthma Gerovassiliou
Some of the oldest, low yielding Syrah vines of the estate are vinified separately producing this wine. Extended maceration of the skins and alcoholic fermentation last about 20 days, follows malolactic fermentation and after that barrel ageing in French oak barrels in the underground cellar. Nemea Terra Leone Ammos Palivou
Deep, dark and thick colour with intensely fruity nose with cherries, forest fruits and baked raisin in balance with the characters of vanilla, dried fruits and chocolate that comes from the long aging process in the oak barrels. Thick and aggressive tannins that require time to smooth. Undoubtfully a wine that loves bottle and demands aging in cellar to unfold its merits. Goes well with red meat with spicy sauces and steaks.
